The map illustrates the transformation of the grocery store during 2010 until now, revealing significant changes in the layout and allocation of space.
Overall, the map demonstrates some differences in grocery design, with various areas and additional racks in main areas. As well as many changes in the corners of the room both in design and function.
Nowadays there is a cafe counter beside the drinks area–that became smaller– where previously there was only a drinks shelf on the right side. Meanwhile, there is a Basket and Trolley in each side entrances including the new one which is located in the southeast. Moreover, the grocery has self-service checkouts beside the regular checkouts now, whereas in the first year there was only a long regular checkout on the right side.
Furthermore, the north shelves position remain the same but experience different sizes, where milk is wider now but ice cream and meat become smaller. In addition, in 2010 it used to be a seperation of vegetable and fruits shelf, now the fruits and vegetables made into one and additional tinned foods replaced the fruits racks. In the northeast side there used to be tinned food and toiletries shelves which are now replaced with baked goods while toiletries are the same. Finally, on the left side there is a change in the relocation from baked goods to frozen ready meals.
