The given map illustrate the trnsformation of Porth Harbour in 2000 compared to today. Overall, the harbour witnessed radical changes with the most noticeable being the replacement of the road to the car park and a disused castle for a hotel.
The harhour in 2000 was originally planned to build a dock where the number of ferries parked was litmited, so the second dock was constructed on left hand side to meet the commution needs. Besides, there were the second showers & toilets built between the car park and a smaller one and new Cafés & Shops which was erected next to the lifeboat. Meanwhile, fishing boats and marina for private yachts were changed positions to each other.
Following redevelopment, the disused castle at the bottom right-hand corner was demolished to make way for the newly-build hotel which is now managed the previous public beach nearby. A small road from the Road was built to go to the hotel, whereas the path to large car park was flattened and was replaced by constructing new one from the Main Road.
