The plans below illustrate changes that took place in the harbour in 2000 and at present.
Overall, the place underwent significant redevelopment over the shown period. Several original features were removed or relocated, while new facilities were introduced, resulting in a more modern and functional layout.
In 2000, private yachts were located in the north of the port, while the fishing boats were in the south. In the northeast, there were only two passenger ferries, which were not enough to host all ferries. Meanwhile, a disused castle occupied the southeast.
By the present day, considerable changes have been made. Firstly, private yachts have been relocated in the southwest of the port in order to obtain a larger space, while their former space has been occupied by fishing boats. Next to it, a new space for showers and toilets has been built in addition to the old one. In the northeast, one passenger ferry has been added. Moreover, in the southeast new hotel and road have been constructed, and a former beach is now used by the hotel. Next to the lifeboat new cafés and shops have been opened. However, the car park and the northwest public beach remained unchanged.
