The maps illustrate a transformation of Natural History Museum in 2010 and 2013.
Overall, the Natural Museum has become more diverse and visitor friendly with the introduction of a range of new facilities. It is also clear that the majority of the changes took place to the right side of the museum while the left side remained more or less intact.
Focusing on the 2010 plan, access was from the bottom, with Dinosaur hall to the left and Ocean hall on the. There was also Lobby, featuring Ticket desk behind which was Dinosaur hall. Beside the Ocean hall was a Mammals , while from the outside was a garden.
Since then the Mammals has experienced significant changes. Except for then newly-built Insects section which were located in Mammals made way for Ice Age exhibition, the Lobby and left wing of the museum remained almost the same. Also, where garden stood, there are cafe and Human origins display, Shop and Mammals which are located in one area.
