The two plans depict the park for the public, one, when it was inaugurated in 1920, and the other, its present state.
Overall, the west, centre and the south-east ends of the park were completely renovated to accommodate new buildings. One out of the three rose gardens were removed, and another was relocated.
The stage for musicians and the seats located in the west-end of the park, was transformed into the large amphitheatre for hosting concerts. One of the other major changes include, that of the fountain found in the centre of the park and the pond for water plants found in the recreational centre in 1920, which were removed and replaced by a larger water feature which is built where the old glasshouse once stood, towards the south-eastern end of the park.
A square shaped garden of roses was planted where the fountain was removed. This garden was surrounded on all four sides by seats. A new café and children’s play area occupy the north-east corner of the park now. An additional underground car park was installed at the south-east end of the park.
