The maps illustrate some changes to a public park which was opened in 1920 in two different time periods (first year and the present)
Overall, the park has experienced significant changes during that period. The most noticeable differences between the two plans are the appearance of an amphitheatre and a water feature.
As can be seen from the maps, the entrances in the north and south of the park remain unchanged, while a new entrance underground car park is constructed in the southeast of the park. In addition, a stage for musicians, the south rose garden and all the seat places on the west side were replaced to construct the amphitheatre for concerts.
In the centre of the park, a fountain was demolished and replaced by a large rose garden surrounding by four seat spaces. A cafe is built on the original site of the northeast rose garden. All other buildings in the east side such as a pond for water plants, a glass house and seats were destroyed. In that area, a children’s play area in the northeast, a water feature in the southeast are constructed.
