The maps illustrate the layout of Newton Theatre in 2000 and at present.
Overall, it is clear that the theatre has undergone significant expansion over the years. Several facilities and entrances have been relocated, and a new restaurant has been added.
In 2000, the theatre had a maximum capacity of 400 seats. The stage and backstage were located in the north, while various facilities, including toilets, cloakroom, ticket office, and refreshment area, were situated in the south. The main entrance was positioned at the center of the southern side, dividing the foyer into two sections. Next to the theatre, there was a green area with trees.
At present, the seating capacity has increased to 500. The trees have been removed to make room for new infrastructure. Although the stage area remains in the north, other parts of the theatre have been moved or redesigned. There are now two entrances on the eastern side. The foyer and service areas have been relocated to the left side of the building to accommodate more seating. A new restaurant has been added in the northeast corner, next to the toilets, with the cloakroom, refreshment area, and ticket office arranged below them in that order.
