The above image depicts Porth Harbour in 2000 and the present day.
Porth harbour in 2000 had fewer facilities which including car parks, private yachts, fishing boats, a lifeboat, public and private beaches, and ferries. While accessing from the main road, you can drive in and park directly at either of the two car parks in the north or south.
On the northern part of Porth Harbour, we have showers and toilets, Marina (private yachts), and two passenger ferries. We can also access the public beach and dock.
While on the southern part, we can see a road that leads directly to the lifeboat, there are fishing boats and a castle close to the private beach.
Porth Harbour today has been upgraded to a standard and well-modernized one. There is now an access road to the former castle that is now converted into a hotel, we now have more showers and toilets at both the north and southern parts of the Harbour, and fishing boats and private yachts have been interchanged. Ferries have now increased from two to three, there are now cafes and shops, and lastly, the public and private beaches.
