The map illustrates information about the latest and anticipated development schemes for a tertiary institution’s Biology School.
Overall, the school is forecasted to undergo dramatic changes, the most important of which are the rearrangement of the green tree sections and the emergence of the experimental area, suggesting that there is a large degree of consideration towards scientific and technological research in the years ahead.
At the moment, the northwest section features a path and a row of trees. However, in the future, those trees will be reallocated to make way for the lab and office building, and in the center of the school, the central library will remain in its current location. Additionally, the most dramatic transformation is expected to take place in the southwest, with another green space being replaced by the car park for staff and the reorganization of the current teaching building being divided into two distinct teaching and building blocks.
Moving to the east side of the map, the existing infrastructure sees almost no change compared to the planned scheme later, with the exception of the drama center being knocked down to make room for a music center, catering for the growing demand in recreational needs. Meanwhile, other constructions are to be unchanged, including the in-house sports hall, the cafe shop, the large room for lectures, and the IT center.
