The given plans depict the ground floor of a library in 2001 and its refurbishment in 2009.

Overall, there were a lot of changes between the plan in 2001 and it in 2009.The 2001 library seemed to be less feature than it in the next 8 years.

In 2001, go through the entrance, the first thing to see was the librarian’s desk and the stairs was on the right side. On the left side, there were history and self-help bookcase, with the self-help one near the desk. On the right side was the newspaper and periodicals bookshelf and the tables located in the middle of the map. In the top of the map was the fictional bookcase.

In 2009, the desk and the stairs remain sustainable. The history and self-help bookcase were replaced by many other types of book. The newspaper and periodicals bookcase were transferred to the films and DVDs with the changed need of people. Four separated tables in 2001 were transformed into four long tables. Children area was added to the plan, also the fictional bookshelf were the children’s books in 2009
