The figure illustrates the present schematic of a university’s sports centre and its new look after refurbishment.

Overall, the sports centre will undergo major changes. Outdoor courts will be removed, and there will be some new or redesigned indoor facilities.

The sports centre has a 25m pool in the middle of the centre. The entrance and the reception are south of the pool. There are locker rooms west of the pool, and a seating area is at the eastern side of the pool. The gym is in the northeastern area of the sports centre. There are two outdoor courts at two sides of the centre.

According to the new plan, the entrance of the centre will be extended, and a new cafe will be opened east of the reception. Opposite the cafe, a new sports shop will also be opened. There will be two additional changing rooms; one is near the cafe, and another is just near the shop. The gym area will be extended, and a new sports hall will be added instead of the outdoor courts. Also, two dance studios will be located at the eastern side. At the western side, there will be a leisure pool instead of the outdoor courts. The reception, pool, seating, and changing rooms around the pool will stay unchanged.
