The map illustrates the changes of Beechwood farm’s area between 1950 and now.
It can be seen clearly that the farm has not changed much in fudamental sites such as land for different kinds of trees, fruits, vegetables. In addition it also has been revolutionized, with many modern sites such as camping field and shop. This also leads to the abbolishment of sheep breeding and holiday cottages.
Looking first at original areas was kept from 1950, farmhouse, land sections for vegetables and soft fruits are maintained in Benchword farm. Fruit trees and barn, while still exist, both of which shrink significantly in size compared to the first year of the examined period. Specifically, the former was cut partially for farm shop, while the latter was relocated at the junction of the road.
More updates are observed in the farm. The most noticeable one is the replacement of sheep capturing into places for camping, solar panels and two parkings. Finally, holiday cottages is newly built in place of the old barn.
