The two maps compare plans of a Beechwood farm in 1950 and today.
Overall,Beechwood was transformed from a family rancho on the riverbank into a countryside resting village, using modern technologies to generate electricity, with a camping area at the expense of pasture. As for changes in the north of the farm, the vast field, which was used for sheep’s feeding, now has been replaced with a camping place, four panels to generate electricity from the sun and two parking spots (the western car-park and the eastern one), located oppositely from eachother and connected with a road, that used to be a track in the past, but haven’t changed its way since 1950.
Turning to the south, there hadn’t been such a drastic replacement of land. Territory, along the river bank, still has its three spots for growing vegetables, soft fruits and fruit trees, where the farm shop was constructed conveniently facing the road leading into a highway, to provide an advertisement for passersby. According to the furthest area in the southeast, farmhouse and henhouse didn’t go through any changes, but a barn near the road was relocated to a newly formed smaller building, connected with the triangle shaped roadway, and its place was turned into three holiday cottages, facing the eastern parking spot.
