The picture depicts how the South Wing of the Walton Museum developed between 2008 and 2012.
Overall, the museum developed so much, having many facilities and building two extra floors. In addition, most facilities remained unchanged.
There are several changes at the bottom half of the South Wing of the Walton Museum from 2008 to 2012. On the left side, the special exhibition room and shop remained unchanged, whereas on the right side, the cloakroom was converted into a children’s play area. On the second floor, there was a hall that was built at the entrance. In the middle of the museum, the reception and cloakroom were built as one unit. Similarly, the reading room remained stable.
Moreover, the Walton Museum built two extra floors, adding many facilities between 2008 and 2012. On the left-hand side, a terrace was added at the top of the entrance hall; similarly, a restaurant was built in the middle of the museum. Furthermore, on the right-hand side, a self-service room was added, and on the fourth floor, the exhibition room was built again. Remarkably, the stairs were converted into a lift spanning four floors.
