The provided maps compare the transformation of the South Wing of Walton Museum between 2008 and 2012.
It is quite evident that more rooms were built in the museum.
Over the period of 4 years, the area witnessed dramatic changes. The special exhibition room and shop on the ground floor remained same. In the initial year, the reception room was located right next to the entrance, whereas in 2012, the cloaks room was relocated into the reception room. Moreover, it can be seen that the restaurant was constructed above the reception and cloaks room.
From 2008 to 2012, the museum saw spectacular developments. An inspection of the map illustrates that the stairs in the initial year were replaced by a lift in the 4 year period. Moreover, the cloaks room in 2008 was replaced by the children play area in 2012. However, the reading room remained the same in both years. In addition, the self-service room was built on the reading room in 2010. Also, an exhibition room was introduced on top of the self-service room.
