The first map illustrates the current locations of the facilities, while the accompanying map shows the changes after the redevelopments over a two-year period.
Overall, one of the biggest changes that is expected to make is the number of gates. While the current airport has only 8 gates, the new southeast airport will have 10 more gates, making it 18 in total.
Car hire is a brand-new facility that is expected to be built and added to the arrivals section during redevelopment. The addition of a bag drop is another facility that is making the redevelopment different from the current airport. Although there are currently two walkways, while airport’s rebuilding, two connected sky trains within the gates were added following the removal of the walkways.
Despite developments over the past two years, check-in and the cafe are the ones that are still expected to take place in that airport after the redevelopment. However new built second cafe is going to be located in the arrivals section near the brand-new ATM. One of the biggest changes that is applied to the new airport is the addition of shops right above the security passport control.
