Following is the flow diagram showing the production sequence of edible oils, fats, and margarine produced from raw materials such as nuts and different types of seeds. First of all, the raw materials are sent into the silo for storage. After that, the raw materials undergo further processing to crush and mill them to break into pieces. Once this process is done, the material is pressed for oil extraction.
After extraction, the oil is filtered to remove impurities. It is then steamed; another way of refining the oil to get three different types of oil, namely sunflower oil, coconut oil, and refined oils. The final products are then packaged in bottles or margarine packages. Packaged oils and fats are then transported down to supermarkets or shops where they are sold as edible oils and margarine.
All the processes, starting from storage to extraction, filtering to refining, make edible oil and fat products available in the market consumable.
