The process diagram illustrates the procedure of making two types of Pu-erh tea: raw and ripe.

Overall, it is a 7-stage, linear, man-made procedure which starts with rolling leaves and finishes with producing 2 sorts of brew.

First of all, the inactivation of enzymes is done by frying leaves in the pan where they change their colour and size. After that, they are rolled and put in a special place under the sun in order to dry. Following that, Loose Raw Tea undergoes two various ways of acquiring liquid leaves: by compressing and fermenting by mold.

In the first method, Loose Ripe herbs become darker after the fermentation by Mold. Then, it is compacted into dense consistency so that they can be offered to the public. In the second technique, on the other hand, after being compressed, the substance is aged by storage for a long time in order to produce vintage Pu-erh tea.
