Given are the pictures delineating a blueprint of a site for dumping domestic trash. Overall, the process involves 3 distinct stages, which could be divided into: construction, use, and closure.
With regard to the construction of the landfill, a square-shaped man-made hole is dug into a base of natural rock. Afterwards, another smaller rectangular hole is set up at the bottom to serve as a drainage tank. Once it has been finished, a layer of clay and synthetic lining will be placed respectively on top of one another. This stage ends with putting a row of pipes into the hole for drainage purposes.
As for the usage, trucks that had collected garbage from houses will arrive at the site to start dumping the trash into the hole. At this point, the solid waste is remained on top of the pipes, whereas the liquid one naturally flows into the earlier built tank.
Finally, a large pipe with two ends, one connecting with the drainage pipes in the hole, and the other acts as a gateway for releasing gases from the compressed waste. After everything has been set up, a clay cover is put onto the hole.
