The 2 pie charts demonstrate the overall usage of energy in United Kingdom in year 2000 and 2010.
Coal and gas remained stable in 10 years, with coal having the lead over gas which took short by a little bit over these years.Opposite situation happened with petrol, which had a devastating downfall.Solar energy, which is considered the main renewable energy source by many, had a significant rise over the period of time,as well as other types of energy sources, they rose up too.
The leading type of energy-coal had the first place in consumption by having 30% in 2000 and 31% in 2010.The close second place owner-gas had 29,5% in 2000 and 30% in 2010.Petrol was mainly used in 2000,having 29%.But shockingly,it experienced the falloff to 20%.Solar energy gained popularity in 10 years, rising from 6,5% in 2000 to 10% in 2010.The same thing happened to other types of energies, owning 5% of chart in 2000 and to 9% in 2010.
Overall, the energy used in United Kingdom hadn’t changed a lot in in 10 years, but increasing consumption of new types of energy leads to petrol usage getting lower and lower.
