Overall, young users accounted for the highest rate in the chart, whereas the eldery used social media the least. Beside used widely by teenagers, adults also use social media as much as them.
Specifically on the youth, social media users aging from 13-25 spent the most time with their phone, making up 40% of the chart. Furthermore, time contributed by adult from 25-35 to social media were slightly lower to just over one-third, 35%, indicating less freetime for leisure activity on phones.
For eldery age groups, in 2018 approximately 15% users of social media aged around 36-45. Nearly one-tenth of the social media pie were made up by users of 46-55 years old, which was considerably compared to only 2% occupied by that over 55.
