The above graph is a line graphs and it details the amount of goods transported in the USA since 1990. It further detalis the projection of the quantities of transported goods through several transport mediums such as road, water, railway, air, pipelines and cable till 2040. Each line in the graph symbolises each transport meduim, such as blue for road, yellow for water and so on. The years are depicted through the x-axis and the y-axis shows the quanitities of goods staring from 0 up to 50 million tons.
The highest amount of goods are transported to the US through roads starting form 35 million tons in 1990 and with an escalated projection of 49 tons in 2040. Contrary to that the lowest medium used for transportation is through the air, railway and pipleine, with little to no variatin in quanitites expected over the years.
One of the steady growths in the amout of goods delivered is through railway- starting at 15 million tons in 199 to an expected 32 million in 2040. Water follows railway in terms of steady growth, however, there was a dip in the early years. Aditioonally, the growth projection with water is not that steep.
Overall, the graph does an exceptional job to clearly portray the amount of goods transpoered to the US over the year through various modes of transport.
