Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is Jonathan Riley, and I am a third-year student studying Biology. I plan to attend graduate school after I complete my undergraduate degree. I am writing to express my interest in the open job position at the school library, which I saw advertised on the job board in the career center.

During high school, I volunteered at my local library, where I assisted the librarians with checking out books, shelving returned items, and answering phone calls. I spent a year in that role, which provided me with valuable experience.

I noticed that the position is part-time, which would be ideal as I need to allocate time for my studies. I am dedicated to performing my duties well and believe I possess the necessary skills for the position. I am available at your convenience and can be reached by phone or email.
