The given six pie charts illustrate the proportions of water consumed for distinct purposes in six parts of the world.
Overall, what stands out from the pie charts is that a significantly higher percentage of water is utilized for agriculture in most areas of the world, except in Europe and North America. By contrast, these two regions used water more for industrial purposes.
Looking at the information in more detail, three parts Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia used a significant proportion of water for cultivation, at above 80%, followed by South America, at 71%. However, it was Europe that used about half of the total water for industrial applications, whereas North America accounted for the second highest proportion, at 48%.
With regard to the remaining information, it is almost equal in some regions for domestic use. Moreover, South America’s rate is 19%, which is significantly more than that of other lands.
