The table shows how long it took to travel around a city before and after the transport network was improved. The bar chart shows how much it costs to use different forms of transport in the city.
According to the table, taxis and cars were the fastest forms of transport, they took only 9 and 10 minutes before the improvements. Meanwhile, buses and trams were slower with averages of 22 minutes and 28 minutes respectively before the improvements. After the enhancements, average times did not change significantly; however, trams and buses witnessed the most dramatic falls in journey times, dropping by 16 and 23 minutes respectively.
In terms of cost, taxis are the most highest-priced options with average 1.80 euros per kilometre, outstripping cars, which cost 1.00 euros per kilometre. On the other hand, trams and buses are the most economical ways to travel around as they cost less than 0.60 euros.
To sum up, taxis and cars are the quickest ways to travel although they cost more than other transportation methods. By contrast, trams and buses are much more affordable; conversely, they remain the most time-consuming modes of transport. This means that both methods of transport have their own advantages and disadvantages.
