The table and chart depict the amount of time which was doing for leisure and household activities by male and female in 2008.
Overall, it is clear that women’s rate experienced an upward trend on household activities, while men’s figure consistently showed big figures on leisure activities.
To begin with the table, men spent 135 minutes for TV, video and radio, it was higher than the women’s rate by 11 minutes. Moreover, the amount of reading was almost the same for both genders, 18 and 19 minutes. Women’s numbers were 11 o sport activities, being lower than men’s rate by 4 minutes in every day.
Turning to the chart , cooking and washing mainly had done by females, hitting a high point of about 75 minutes in 2008, while male’s expenditure was half of it, namely 30 minutes. Furthermore, 23 minutes were used for shopping by men, being lower than women’s expenditure by 17 minutes. Likewise, clothes washing and ironing’s average time was 30 in femalez it was higher the man’s by 20 minutes. However, in repairing , figures for males witnessed an upward trend, in spending of men, namely 19 and 9 minutes in 2008 per day.
