There was clearly an increase in income from 304.7 million in 2017 to 318.6 million in 2018. The increase mainly came from local taxes, with an addition of 11.1 million from 91.2 in 2017 to 102.3 million in 2018. Aside from that, a slight rise of around 2 million from the national government and around 0.5 million from other sources is present.
In terms of how the budget was allocated, the majority of the police budget went to salaries for officers and staff, and it dropped from 75% in 2017 to 64% in 2018. Meanwhile, the money allocated for ‘Buildings and Transport’ remained constant at 17% each year. Conversely, a different pattern could be seen in the category of technology where the figure rose sharply from 8% in 2017 to 14% in 2018 which was the lowest proportion in the given period.
