The table shows the information on the police budget in Britain in 2017 and 2018. The table shows where the budget came from and the pie chart below depicts how the money was spent within the year.
It is noticeable that police budget had increased from 2017 to 2018. There are four main sources that were transferred to the police budget. Firstly, the national government in 2017 transferred budget from 175,5 million euros to 177,8 million euros in 2018. Secondly, it was from the local taxes that paid by the citizen. The budget from the local taxes also rised from 91 million euros in 2017 to 102,3 million euros in 2018. Thirdly, the police officer also offered incomes from the grants. The euros which had been given not significantly in surging but still counts as positive revenue.
In addition to this, the pie chart depicts three main goods where the budget was spent. First, 75 percent was spent to the salaries in 2017, but decreased by the year of 2018. Second, 17 percent of budget in 2017 and 2018 was allocated for transport and buildings. Finally, the smallest budget was spent to technology, which was 8% in 2017, but increased drastically to 14 percent in 2018.
