Meanwhile, it is clear from the chart that women spent more time than men on all household activities except repairing.
According to the table, the predominant share of the spending time for leisure activities was watching TV, video, and radio for both men and women, which was 137 minutes for the former and 118 minutes for the latter per day. However, the time for reading and sport was much lower. The men spent 18 minutes for reading and 15 minutes for sport, while women spent 19 minutes for reading and 11 minutes for sport on average per day.
The chart illustrates that the men and women spent most of their time cooking and washing dishes, constituting about 30 and 75 minutes, respectively. The men did shopping by spending approximately 25 minutes, while women spent 35 minutes on average. The women washed and ironed clothes by spending 20 minutes more than men, accounting for 30 minutes per day. It is also noticeable that men spent more time than women only for repairing, constituting 19 minutes for men and about 10 minutes for women.
