Given is the line chart and table depicting the proportions of internet searchers in the US from 2011 to 2021 with the details of user percentages who engaged in six different platforms including Chrome, Internet Ex, fireFox, Safari, Opera and Edge.
Overall, while Chrome reigns supreme with a stable rate of users in each year and an upward trend throughout the process, other elements presented an opposite tendency, especially the least favourable position belongs to Edge.
To be specific, Chrome began with 20% of users, steadily escalating nearly to 70% in 2021, dominating the chart with no opponent. However, while Internet Explorer started as the highest with 50%, it has gradually loosened endorsement and eventually only accounted for 1%, as same as the Firefox which was 30% at first and dropped drastically in the following years. The group of Safari, Opera and Edge has modest significant changes in the period, the three of them started with nearly 0% and continuously plateauing around 10%, being incomparable to the mentioned platforms.
Visually, according to the table, we can conclude that while Internet Ex had a potential user rate beforehand, it has ended up to be one of the least used tools, being alongside Firefox, Safari, Opera and Edge. Remarkably, statistics showing that Google had a stable searcher proportion, only had a negligible dip from 70 to 68 subsequently.
