Meanwhile, the number of local research students also increased from 33,657 to 39,488 over the same period
The pie chart shows the gender breakdown of these students. In 2001, local males and local females constituted the largest share of the chart, at 44% and 43%, respectively. However, by 2010, these proportions had dropped to 38% and 35%. In contrast, the proportions of these sectors for international students increased/ grew/ rose expanded.
