The pie chart compares proportions of age groups who watched five different TV programmes, namely sport, cartoon, film, drama, and news. Overall, among the youngest age group, percentages of sport and cartoon presented the highest preference, whereas in the middle-aged group, the figure for drama was the highest across all age categories. Notably, it is clear that news mainly attracted people in the older age bracket.
Starting with sport and cartoon, preference was considerably higher among viewers aged 10-15, accounting for identical share for both programmes, at 26%. People aged 16-20 represented 14% in sport which was more than three times higher than those aged 21-25, at only 4%. As for film, proportions of all age groups showed nearly the same preference, at 19, 23, and 21%, respectively.
Regarding the remaining programmes, drama attracted predominantly the middle-aged group, at 30%, which was about 8 percentage point higher than those aged 10-15 and 21-25, at 22 and 23%, respectively. Meanwhile, as age rises, news became more popular among older people, with a staggering 33%, making it the highest figure in the chart.
