The table gives information on which activities parents and their progeny find most enjoyable, and parents and children are keen on most activities listed to differing degrees.
Both parents and children delight in going on vacation the most at 37% and 42% respectively. However, this is where the agreement ends. Parents also take pleasure in going on outings (37%), making it equal to vacations, compared to 26% of children who prefer celebrating special occasions (35%) and playing board or video games (31%) to going on outings.
Third on the parental list is spending time with other families or relatives (27%) whereas children prefer this the least (21%). Parents also relish playing games and celebrating special occasions, but not as much as children, at 23% and 22% respectively.
Parents and children each have a unique pastime. Parents enjoy eating meals together (22%), which is not popular enough with children to make their list and conversely, children like watching movies, TV or videos together (25%) which did make it on to the list of activities that make parents happy.
