The diagram illustrates the facts on sales for fair trade-labelled coffee and banana within the year 1999 and 2004 in five European states.
In general , it can be seen that,among the five countries between the year 1999 and 2004, bananas has the highest sales as compared to coffee over the period.
The data shows that, coffee in 1999, Switzerland(3 euros) had the highest dealings which continues with the remaining three countries Denmark 1.8 euros , UK 1.5 euros , Belgium 1 euro. While’s Sweden provided the lowest (0.8 euro). However, in 2004, UK recorded an increment from 0.8 to 20 euros whereas Sweden and Denmark had an insignificant increase (0.2), Switzerland increased gradually from 3to6 euros with Belgium 1-1.7 euros .
With respect to bananas, it is clear that UK had a significant raise from 15- 47 euros from the year 1999 to 2004. Which was followed by Switzerland(1-5.5),Denmark (0.6-4) whereas Sweden had a drastic lose from 2-0.9 euros of which Belgium came after with 1.8-1 euro.
