Agriculture used to be an sector where the largest amount of water was used. Especially, in Egypt, the amount of water used in this sector accounted for 82%, making it the proportion on the table. Meanwhile, the figure for water used by Saudi Arabians and New Zelanders occupied medium share, with 64% and 44% respectively. However, by contrast these tree countries, Canada accounted for very little percentage in using water in agriculture, with occupying merely 10%.
When it comes to two remaining sectors domestic use and industry, Canadians used the water mostly in both sectors compared to other countries, with in domestic use 20% and in industry 70% respectively. New Zealand was the second major sector using water in domestic use and industry, accounting for 10% and 46%. In Egypt and Saudi Arabia, these proportions were seen at varying degrees. in domestic use, 8% and 6% and in industry, 10% and 30% respectively.
