The table gives a comparison of how four car businesses invested in different forms of advertising in the UK in 2002.
Overall, while the budget for TV commercials made up the highest amount, outdoor promotion was the least popular advertising form across four companies.
Regarding Renault business, the expense on TV advertisement dominated others, with 59 million dollars, which was nearly 15 million dollars bigger than the press budget, compared to 15 million dollars poured into radio channels and 7 million dollars allocated to outdoor advertising. A similar pattern with lower figures could be seen in Rover company. There was only 2 million dollars in the spending on outdoor advertisements, registering one-sixth that of radio channels. The remaining two fields, in the same car manufacturer, attracted investment of roughly twenty times bigger than the figure for outdoor advertisement.
In terms of the rest of car companies, the expenditures on TV advertising in Vauxhall and Cetirizine brands were 65 million dollars and 70 million dollars, respectively, followed by the data on the remaining categories, ranging from 7 million dollars to 15 million dollars.
