The table gives information about the use of water on three different sectors – domestic use, industry, and agriculture – across four nations.
Overall, Egypt showed the highest proportion of use of water in agriculture, whereas the reverse was true for industry. It’s also worth noting that, households used less water in all four countries, sharing the lowest point in Saudi Arabia.
Focusing on the agriculture, Egypt was the leading country at 82%. This was followed by Saudi Arabia and New Zealand with 64% and 44%, while Canada had the lowest share, at just 10%.
As for the industry, there were pronounced gap between Egypt and Canada, recording 70% and 10%. However, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand allocated to 30% and 46% respectively.
Regarding domestic use, Saudi Arabia used the lowest percentage of water, with just 6%, followed by Egypt (8%). In comparison, New Zealand and Canada were 10% and 20%, just higher than Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
