The table illustrates the number of people from three different age groups (18-25, 25-40 and 40-65), and the nine types of jobs they follow.
Overall, the lowest proportion of people from all age groups worked as accountants. People aged between 18 and 25 preferred to work in retail, while the middle-aged people worked in health and manufacturing. Similarly, the oldest group preferred to work in manufacturing.
The most popular job between the ages of 18 and 25 was retail, with 23 people in it. Then, the other jobs were the second most popular choice, with 21 workers, while for the middle-aged group it was the choice with the most workers (18). In terms of health and manufacturing, 12 chose these from the youngest and 15 from the 25-40 aged groups. For the age group of 40-65, manufacturing came first in the list with 23 workers, followed by local government with 18 and 12 in health and education.
On the other hand, law, agriculture, accountancy and catering were the least popular jobs with less than 10 people from each group. Only 4 people worked in law from each group, which was the second least favorite choice, and 3 individuals were accountants from the youngest and oldest groups, while 2 from the 25-40 age group.
