Overall, the number of kilometers travelled by cars, taxis, and trains rose over the period, with cars showing the most pronounced rise and exhibiting a significantly larger number than the remaining methods combined. Walking and bus were responsible for similar distance coverage in 1977, which declined by the same distance by 2007, a pattern that was likewise observed in bicycle and motorcycle, but they were the least popular methods of transport.
In terms of car, the category by far the dominant among all transport methods, accounting for 3500km initially, after which it showed over twice as high to around 7100km, along with the figure favoured by the end of the period. This was followed distantly by train, the figure edged up from 900km to 1000km, with ranking second, despite increasing gradually over the period. Likewise, the figure for tax stood at 400km in 1977, following over four decades it witnessed two-fold growth, reaching 800km in the fianl year.
As far as bus and walking are concerned, they registered 500km and 400km, respectively in 1977. Both figures saw almost similar pattern reduction, whose declined 100km each at the end of the period. Similarly, bicycle and motorcycle showed similar changes throughout the entire time frame, from 100km to 90km, with both figures maintaining their lowest position of the list.
