There are 148 films were released in 2012. Documentary and drama genres were the most produced (70 films in both genres). Each of these genres took 23.6 percent of total percentage of releases. A little bit smaller comedies were made and took 17.6 percent of total percentage of all releases. Conversely, only one biopic film were made and consisted of 0.7% in 2012. Slightly more moves were produced in; action(4), romance(5), crime(7), and other(8) genres. They considered 2.7%, 3.4%, 4.7%, and 5.4% of all released films respectively. Approximately the same number of films were released in horror and thriller genre (14 and 13 respectively), and considered 9.5% and 8.8%.
The most income from ticket sales brought comedies – a bit under the half of the total percent (45.4%). The second place was occupied by horror films- 20.2%. Biopic and drama movies came next (9.1% and 8.3% respectively). The lowest percentage of profit was in crime (4.7%), action (4.1%), other(3.2%), documentary(2.9%), thriller(1.3%), and romance(0.8%) genres.
Overall, the percent of all releases diffidently depend on number of releases. All genres have number of releases between 35 and 1. Comedy is the most popular category for citizen because of the biggest income. Surprisingly, drama and documentary were produced more than other categories.
