The table bellow shows the independent movies in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland by genre in 2012

Overall, it can be clearly seen that, there is several genre of films. In total there are 148 numbers of releases and comedy, drama, documentary leads on the list, while all rest of the genres least of 15. Moreover, in the table we can see the percentage of all releases and percentage of income from ticket sales.

Documentary and drama ties with 35 releases in 2012 by genre and cost of 23.6% of all releases to each one. Next on the list is comedy with 26 movies and 17.6% of all releases, naxt to it is horror and triller films(14&13) and (9.5% vs 8.8%). Other TV shows there are all less than 10 releases movies and less than 6% of all releases combined 25 films together and around 17%.

Althought, on the other hand, the percentage of income from ticket sales are really different. On this stat on the first place stand comedy with almost half of the all percentage (45.4%).
