According to the graph, The longest and oldest underground railway route was built in London in 1863 with 775 million passengers per year. Meanwhile, Kyoto, which opened in 1981, had the shortest underground railway route with 11 kilometers thus it had the least amount of passengers, respectively 45 million. Constructed in 1927, the route in Tokyo was about 155 kilometers long, and 1927 million passengers rode it.
Moving ahead, the underground railway in Paris was built in 1900 with 199 kilometers of route that occupied around 1191 million passengers per year. After 76 years, a 126-kilometer route was constructed in Washington DC with 144 million passengers that rode it per year. Lastly in 2001, 50 million passengers rode the 28 kilometers of railway route per year in Los Angeles.
