This table depicts the consumption expenditure percentage of three different sectors in five countries in 2002. It is clear from the graph that the food-related category had the highest rate among the three categories.
According to what is shown, Turkey’s national consumption of food, drink, and Tobacco was the highest proportion record with 32.14 %, followed by the second place ratio for Ireland with nearly 29%. The other three countries, Spain, Italy, and Sweden, had nearly the same ratio with an insignificant change of about 19%, 16%, and 15.7% respectively.
On the other hand, the other two categories appeared with more convergent values. The clothing and footwear category had 5.5% as the lowest rate in Sweden, and 9% as the highest record for Italy. In the same way, the readings converged in the leisure and education part; about 2% in Spain up to 4.3% in Turkey as the highest rate.
To sum up, we could say that, on average, the significant rate of consumption was in Turkey compared with the other nations.
