This graph shows the United Kingdom’s acid rain emission from four different sectors, years between 1990 to 2007. Sectors are transport and communication, electricity, gas and water supply, domestic and other industries.
Transport and communication is mostly been very stable. There have been slight growth within 2000 to 2003. On the other hand, electricity, gas, and water supply, from 1990 it mainly it have been decreasing steady till 2007. It slightly rose in 1998 and 2000. Overall It have dropped from 3.30 million tonnes to 0.5. More over, other industries also have reduced 2.1 to 1.3. For example, domestic had fallen from 0.6 to 0.3.
In conclution, acid rain release in general dropped in almost every industries. This information makes clear that less acidic rain occured in UK.
