Overall, life expectancy at birth increased in all income levels throughout the period. The population growth and average birth per woman were the lowest, while longevity in high income countries was the highest.
Focusing on population growth in different nations, high income countries decreased marginally from +0.8% in 2002 to +0.7% in 2004. Population growth in low income countries experienced a slight decline from +2.0% to +1.8%. In middle income nations remained stable at +0.9% throughoutthe period.
Similarly, average birth per woman in middle and low income countries fell slightly between 2002 and 2004.The former dropped from 2,2 to 2,1 and the latter from 3,9 to 3,7. In high income countries remained unchanged at 1.7 throughout the period.
In terms of life expectancy at birth, in high income countries was consistently the larger than in other level countries, with rising from 78.0 to 78.7. In 2002, longevity in middle and low income countries started at 69.1 and 58.1, respectively. In the former it increased to 70.0 and the latter to 58.8 in 2004.
