The table illustrates the figure of food consumed per person per week in a European country from 1992 to 2012.
It is clear that there was an upward trend in the amount of food consumption per person weekly in a European with the exception of meat. In addition, people ate the most vegetables while cheese was consumed in the smallest quantities in all years.
In 1992, the number of vegetables consumed started at 2140 grams compared to 1148 grams of meat, 837 grams of wheat, 532 grams of bean and 113 grams of cheese. The figure of meat consumed rose significantly to 1211 grams in 2002 but later dropped sharply to 1132 grams in 2012. The 2012 witnessed a dramatic increase to 2220 grams in the amount of vegetables consumed.
The number of wheat consumed grew considerably to 977 grams in 2012 while the figure of bean consumed rose slowly to 590 grams at the end of the period. The amount of cheese consumption per person increased slightly to 125 grams, followed by a period of stability at 125 grams until 2012.
