The chart below displays the number of Ashdown Museum visitors in the year before and the year after its refurbished. The accompanying chart illustrates survey results on visitors’ satisfaction during these two time periods.
Overall, during the year before refurbishment, the total number of visitors amounted to 74000 while the number of visitors during the year after refurbishment was 92000.
The results of surveys of visitor satisfaction reveal that around 40 percent of those who attended Ashdown Museum before the reconstruction were dissatisfied while the percentage of dissatisfied visitors after refurbishment was 15 percent. In contrast, the percentage of very dissatisfied attendees increased slightly from 30 to 40 while the number of guests who did not respond to the survey stayed the same, about 5 percent.
Moreover, it is worth highlighting the fact that the percentage of very satisfied sightseers grew from 15 to 35 which is a substantial increase. However, the number of somewhat satisfied visitors decreased. During the year before refurbishment the percentage accounted for 10 while for those who attended the museum after it was refurbished, this figure fell to 5 percent.
