The table illustrates the amount of money spent on different types of advertisements by four car companies: Renault, Rover, Vauxhall, and Cetirizine. Units are measured in Millions.
Overall, the car companies spent millions of dollars on five types of advertisements: Press, Cinema, Outdoor, radio, and television. It is evident that the most preferred mode of advertising was via television and the least liked type was Cinema advertisements, followed by outdoor advertisements. It can be noticed that all the four card companies spent equal amount of money on advertising through radios i.e., $15 million each.
Amongst the four car companies the highest expenditure in the United Kingdom was of Renault since it spent a total of $132 million on various types of advertisements out of which $45 million and $59 million was the cost of Press and TV advertisements respectively. Rover is also one of those car companies which had the second highest budget for Press and TV advertisements. However, what’s odd is that Rover never advertised their cars through Cinema.
Vauxhall and Cetirizine spent just $8 million and $12 million separately on press to advertise their cars, whereas both the companies had the highest television advertisement cost which was $65 million for Vauxhall and $70 million for Cetirizine.
