In further detail, in the initial year, the population of travellers from the US outweighed its counterparts (259), followed by United Kingdom (258) and other Europe (172). By 1991, their numbers started to increase. Specifically, the US’s figure slightly jumbed from 259 to 288 in 1995 before reaching to 393 in 1999. Similarly, the number of tourists from the UK accelerated from 258 to 509 after eight years. Finally, the other Europe category experienced a moderate increase (172 to 389).
Shifting to the Canada and Germany’s figures, it can be observed that both numbers were fraction with 51 and 75, respectively. Since 1991, the number of Canadian tourists climbed from 51 to 75, while Germany’s index doubled to 140.
