Overall, there was a greater percentage of various singing devices listened by men than those of women, with the majority of males using MP3 players, while most females enjoyed live music. In addition, there were findings that a massive number of young people prefer live music.
The proportions of MP3 players enjoyed by men was about 79%, and the figures for live music and the internet were lower, at 60% and 55% respectively. Besides, the share of music players among women seemed to be more equal (around 44%, 40% and 42% respectively) but still lower than men. In contrast, females consumed a higher rate than males listened to music via CDs, achieving a total of 22%, compared to 19%.
There was a clear difference between the preferences, while recorded music was roughly 26%, the live music was almost three-fold of that. In addition, only 4% of individuals did not have any particular preference for music.
